About My Rent Kenya
My Rent Kenya (also written MyRentKenya) is a Kenyan rental management platform that gives landlords, property managers, agents, caretakers and tenants one shared system for rent collection, leases, maintenance and reporting.
Who we are
My Rent Kenya was founded in 2022 to solve a problem almost every Kenyan landlord recognises: rent tracked in an exercise book or a spreadsheet, M-Pesa messages reconciled by hand at the end of the month, and no reliable record of who paid what, when. We built software that does that work automatically, so property owners can spend their time on the property instead of on the paperwork.
The platform is built specifically for the Kenyan market. Rent is collected in Kenyan shillings through M-Pesa, statements match how Kenyan landlords actually account for their units, and the workflows account for the roles that exist here — the owner, the managing agent, the caretaker on site, and the tenant.
